If you still don't understand that, it basically means that every Monday and Friday, a previously unlocked song will become locked, and will be replaced by another song. So as time goes on, we'll have the chance to try out every song in the game. Pretty typical of Rayark tbh. Previous games haven't had rotations at all - Cytus had you pay for the newest albums and/or the ones with a bit of a storyline (with older ones free) while Deemo had most of its content as paid.Different strategy here, but the idea is that if you're really a hardcore player you'll be willing to pay a bit.
Can't get something for nothing. If you only pick it up every now and then, it'll be a fresh experience for quite a while.MOBAs and their weekly rotations are designed to keep people playing because they also need multiplayer queues to stay populated. It's interesting, but I don't find that it keeps me playing that often either.I dunno about burnout. Usually that's if there's too much grind all the time, which I'd associate with weekly rotations/daily events. This would just be getting bored. The difference is with deemo and cytus they were premium games that gave players a wide variety of songs that come with the game and they unlock as they play. It feels kind of unfair to compare that to Voez when it's only got a 8 song rotation and diary entries that might give keys (and might take 3 months to complete)Hardcore players are gonna pay for songs sure but casual players might be dissuaded as there's not enough content being brought in and out to keep them engaged (Though I will say I do like being able to buy songs individually.
Buying a set just to play one song in deemo was kind of annoying) But I also guess this is how the mobile market works, cash in on the whale spenders not the salmonYou could also argue a weekly rotation would help keep the player base up like in a MOBA and create more hardcore players (Which in the interim could generate more income, though this is definitely a weak point)Edit: The burnout comment is more or less focused around how Rayark needs to not overwhelm players but also keep them engaged with content. Heck I honestly think a bi-weekly rotation could achieve that.
